    • Teach domestic and international students feature writing including how to develop story ideas, conduct advanced interviews and find sources 

    • Developed a course curriculum focused on analyzing and writing narrative non-fiction through the lens of economic and social inequality

    • Developed and implemented the curriculum for “A Way With Words: The Art of Communication” a course about using journalism and personal voice to persuade audiences and make an impact

    • Taught domestic and international pre-college students the foundations of writing American opinion journalism including how to construct arguments, conduct interviews and assess data

    • Facilitated vibrant class discussions across cultural and political views about issues like social inequality and the 2024 election including a visit to New York criminal court and a walking tour of political figures from the Harlem Renaissance 

    • Journalism instructor for a diverse cohort of New York City high school students 

    • Facilitated classes on reporting, writing and editing skills with a focus on telling stories about housing policy in NYC

    • Coached students in how to conduct interviews and edited their work for digital publication

    • Invited professor of journalism in the Humanities Council

    • Designed the undergraduate curriculum for JRN 448 “The Media and Social Issues: Reporting on Race in America Today

    • Led class discussions on racial stereotypes, media bias, ethics and the history of the ethnic press 

    • Taught students reporting, writing, media literacy skills including experiential learning exercises on social inequality

    • Delivered a book talk to the American Studies department about my research into the unique social and economic issues facing professional American women of color over the next decade

    • Taught Korean college students English as a second language including essay writing, conversation and grammar

    • Developed an arts module featuring an interactive lecture on American music from the country to hip hop

    • Taught ESL to Spanish professionals including doctors, attorneys and university administrators 

    • Wrote and translated marketing briefs, medical articles and other business communications
